Who's excited about camping?

PARKER IS!

He was such a trooper. He was cutting 2 teeth the second day there. We spent 4 days away from the chaotic world that we live in. We had some late nights and many early mornings. At night we would sit around the camp fire and watch the bats swarm above our heads and eat the gigantic beetles. We had tons of fun camping and being with family!

If you were one of those beetles flying around camp (that didn't get eaten by a bat), you would have caught us: Making ice cream in a bag...

doing lots of fishing...

taking the raft out a few times...

eating watermelon....

digging a hole, burning a fire in it, and buring a turkey...

*turkey caught on fire, I thought we would be enjoying a "Christmas Vacation" turkey after that (I sang the Christmas Vacation song as they unwrapped the turkey)...*

but it turned out just fine and we enjoyed a good BBQ turkey!

eating Sheena's "addicting" seaweed...some didn't enjoy it as much as others...

drinking lots of pop...

playing lots on a blanket...

hanging out in the big chair....

riding the 4 wheelers...

AND celebrating mom and dad's anniversary....

ALSO, we couldn't leave without getting in some playing time with Heidi because she didn't get to go camping.
